Leftover Peach Martini Cupcake Batter.......

Maggie was ready for a little sugar fix...but she will have to wait awhile!
Daddy fed Maggie her food while the rest of the family consumed way too much sugar...but what fun we all had!

I prepared eight of the peach martini cupcakes and used the rest of the batter to make just plain cupcakes that would delight children...won't be long Maggie and you will indulge in a sweet now and then.

Our family had a great time on Sunday at the Fruit Dessert Throwdown and we look forward to the next throwdown in September!

Did anyone notice that Maggie's outfit was color co-ordinated with the cupcakes???? Truly wasn't planned, but how cute!!!!!

Butterfinger Cupcakes

Some time ago I stumbled upon a recipe for Butterfinger Cupcakes but failed to copy the recipe and when I Googled it today CheatDayCafe popped up and Melody has a nice blog for your viewing. I modified her recipe a bit and these cupcakes are quite tasty!

Butterfinger Cupcakes:

1 yellow cake mix
1 small package instant Cheesecake pudding mix
2 cups warm water
1/3 cup oil
2 eggs
Prepare as directed on cake mix box
Chop 2-3 Butterfinger Candy Bars and fold into the batter.
Spoon batter into paper liners in muffin tins
Bake at 350 degrees for about 23-25 minutes
Remove from tins and cool on rack

Frosting:

1 can Buttercream Frosting
2-3 chopped Butterfinger Candy Bars
I used a large star tip to pipe the frosting on the cupcakes and then placed "chunks" of candy on top

When I purchased the Butterfingers I accidently chose the ones with crispy wafers...they were just fine but I would like to try the original bars because it seems like the crunch would be delightful!

Mom's 90th Birthday at Trinity

On January 20, 2019 Mom celebrated her 90th birthday! Her special day fell on Wednesday and that is Golf Day at Trinity, which she doesn't miss. The group generally enjoys lunch at the A&W or at church followed by an afternoon of playing the card game golf! I baked cupcakes and surprised her with a little party for her friends!
